Self-hosted apps, without the self-hosting.

Frequently asked

Honest answers to the questions we hear most.

How is this different from a basic VPS?

A VPS gives you a blank Linux box — you install, patch, monitor, and back up everything yourself. Nilou Network gives you a managed instance of an open-source application that's already configured, kept current, and backed by a real person you can email when something goes sideways.

Can I migrate to self-hosting later?

Yes. The software we operate is open-source — you can stand up the same application on your own hardware whenever you like. We will export your data and configuration on request, in standard formats, free of charge.

What's your refund policy?

Subscriptions can be cancelled any time from your dashboard. Refunds for unused service time are processed within 7 business days of an approved request. See our legal page for the full text.

How do you handle backups and data export?

Daily snapshots are retained for 14 days; weekly snapshots for 60 days. You can request a full data export at any time — we deliver in standard formats (SQL dump, JSON, configuration files) within 3 business days.

What payment methods do you accept?

Alipay, WeChat Pay, USDT (TRC20), and major credit cards via our payment partner. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled; one-off payments are also supported on request.

What's your uptime target?

We target 99.9% monthly uptime for managed instances. We do not offer a contractual SLA at the current scale — we'd rather be honest about being a small operation than promise enterprise guarantees we can't keep.

Can I run a custom open-source application not in your default catalog?

Often, yes. Email [email protected] with the project URL and what you're trying to do. We'll evaluate and quote a one-off setup fee if it's a fit.

Are you affiliated with miHoYo or Genshin Impact?

No. The name Nilou is used here as a generic word — Persian for blue lotus. Nilou Network is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by miHoYo / HoYoverse or the Genshin Impact franchise.
